Computer Animation September 9, 2008

So that is my future career. I am desperately trying to get into the LA Film school. Right now i attend The Center for Advanced Learning….CAL for short. I’m in the graphic design program but i guess that doesn’t really deal with character design or animation. Well we have learned a few flash tricks but i think flash is out to get me. Does anyone know of any good Flash tutorial websites? I have been to a few but they were all way to confusing but it might just be me

Anyway, this is my blog where i will write some stuff about computer animation, and hopefully we can all learn something. I want to find some fun short cartoons that people have made…have you made one? I want to but like i said I’m really inexperienced with Flash and i have only worked a little bit with Maya at the Art Institute of Portland, but that was for game development.

I want to learn as much as i can about animation and character design =]

It has been a fun run this emester. And i learned dome fun things about the Adobe programs thanks to all the wonderful teachers at the center for advanced learning. I would like to thank mrs. myers for teaching me about webdesign and word press. I must be honest however that unless we carry on our blog posts to next semester, I will no longer continue this blog. I will mostly likely switch to a different topic, and create a whole new blog al together. Once again it has been fun times! Good Bye!

This is the second lesson that helped me out alot. Remember that this is basic tools of Flash and is there to help begginers like myself.

I have located a great tutorial for Adobe Flash. I have been having alot of trouble with this program, mostly with understanding it. But this video really helped me out.

The Animation Show January 27, 2009

Don Hertzfeldt is at it again with the animation show. Here he jokes about the creation of animation. It is also a very educational tool for the definition of animation.

This short film was done by a man named Don Hertzfeld. He is very talented in cartooning. This video may be very innaporpriate at times, but others its a great way to show the art of cartooning.

Change of Major? January 27, 2009

I have been doing a lot of thinking about college. I realized that there are not that many animation firms in ORegon. I may switch my major to graphic design, (not webdesign). I am wondering if anyone can give me a liat of animation firms/job sites that are in oregon. I know i want to live here with my family and it has been a tough road trying to pick a career that i enjoy while trying to stay in Oregon.

Animation/Real Life January 27, 2009

In the movie lvin and the Chipminks, they used a mix of animation with real life acting. I like the seemless editing, and the great effects the chipminks give to the movie.

Spongebob is still one of my alltime favorite animations/cartoons. Even as an adult i find it very funny!
